Our Mission
At Behavior Learning and Development Group, our mission is to empower individuals and their families. We are committed to providing evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services that foster independence and improve quality of life.
What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence‑based approach that teaches meaningful skills by breaking learning into simple steps and using positive, supportive strategies. It helps build communication, social skills, independence, and safer, more effective behaviors within everyday routines.

We receive a referral for services from your child's doctor or regional center. We also accept self-referrals and will work with your treatment team for required paperwork.
We will confirm insurance coverage or regional center funding. We are a VMRC vendor for ABA services for toddlers aged 18-36 months. We are in the process of credentialing with MediCal and their Managed Care Plans. Other major private insurance credentialing is also pending.
After we confirm coverage and gain authorization for services, we will schedule a comprehensive assessment to identify treatment goals, which may include maladaptive behavior reduction and teaching developmentally appropriate skills.
After the comprehensive assessment, the treatment team will develop an individualized plan and recommended duration and frequency of services. Your child will be matched with a 1:1 technician who is supervised by a BCBA to deliver evidenced-based ABA treatment.
We utilize a combination of traditional ABA methods, infused with the naturalistic and relationship-based Early Start Denver (ESDM) model. We continue to use naturalistic methods for our older learners as well.
The BCBA supervisor continually analyzes your child's progress and makes data-informed decisions for program modifications.
We provide ongoing parent training to adapt ABA skills into home and community settings.
We see children aged 18 months to 5 years in our clinics located in Valley Springs, CA and Sonora, CA (Coming soon). We provide home and community services for children over the age of 5 through the age of 21. We are also working on contracting through local school districts to serve clients in the school settings.
Funding for our clinic-based toddler programs are made possible by grant funds from Valley Mountain Regional Center (VMRC).
